Jeffery Patrick Clark of Asheboro, 65, died December 15 after a prolonged illness. He was a Navy veteran and served aboard the USS Seahorse stationed in Charleston, SC. He was employed at Varner’s Garage for twenty years. He was a graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School, Class of ‘72.
The son of George and Beluah Cox Clark, he is preceded in death by his parents, brother David Clark, sister Sharon Clark Higgins and niece Susan Parks.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Margaret Clark, son Kenan Clark, daughter Katie Clark and step-daughters Tracey Morgan and Angela Hoover all of Asheboro, and sister Ramona Parks of Ramseur.
His is also survived by: six grandchildren, Brett Varner, Madison Epps and husband Matthew, Kelsey Walter and husband Hunter, McKenna and Tyler Hoover and Paislie Clark. One great-granddaughter Ryleigh Varner and one soon-to-be great-grandson Russell Walter. Nephews Brian Clark, Kelly Clark, Randy Parks, Corey Parks. Niece Charity Minor.
A private family memorial is planned at his home and a dedication service at his second home in Folly Beach, South Carolina is planned for early next year. Contributions may be made in his name to DAV or the Wounded Warrior Project.
