Obituary

Asheboro- Mary Peele Gooch, 71, passed away March 11, 2019, at her home. Born, May 16, 1947, she was the daughter of the late, Howard Peele, and Nannie Smith Peele.

Mary was a graduate of Randolph Community College and retired from Regional Consolidated Services in 2009, where she worked as a CNA. Mary accepted Christ as her savior at a very early age and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; all of whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Geneva Lundy, and Eva Hodges; her brothers, Warren Hicks and Clay Peele; niece, Sherry Briles and nephew, William Hodges. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Gooch; daughter, Krystal Parks (Dwight); step-daughters, Lisa and Terri Gooch; step-son, Adam Gooch; grandchildren, Bailey & Brooke Parks, and Noah Gooch; sister, Daisy Pruitt (Raymond); sister in law, JoAnne Peele; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 5:30pm, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Bethel Friends Meeting, 2519 Bethel Friends Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205 with the Pastor Roger Carmichael officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the fellowship hall with a covered dish meal and a time for sharing memories of Mary. Services entrusted to Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service.
