Obituary
Asheboro- Allan Jeffery Baker, 62, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at his home. Born January 29, 1961 in Ashe County, he was the son of the late Thomas Lee Baker and Celia Leona Bledsoe.
A memorial service will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service, 304 Lanier Ave, Asheboro, NC 27203. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made to the American Heart Association or a church of your choosing.
Mr. Baker received his high school education from Northwest High School. He worked in maintenance at Kayser Roth Corporation for 39 years and was employed with Randolph County building maintenance for the last 7 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and trout fishing in the NC mountains.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carmen Gillespie Baker; son, Jason Baker; step daughter, Tracy Garner; grandchildren, Alexus Baker, Liam Baker, Jared Garner, and Nala Garner; great grandchildren, Ellie Simmons, Calder Hamby and Jackson Maness; and sisters, Linda Martin of High Shoals and Thelma Summey of Trinity. In addition to his parents Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his brothers, Stan Baker and Daniel Baker.
