Randleman- Dairell “Wayne” Reynolds, 79, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Wesley Long Hospital. Born January 30, 1942 in Virginia, he was the son of the late, Dairell Ford Reynolds and Louise Sexton Reynolds.
Wayne received his high school education in Asheboro. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where he was saved at a very early age. He served as Deacon and adult Sunday school teacher. Wayne retired from Townsend in Siler City where he worked as a supervisor. He also worked for Randleman Water Works. He enjoyed studying and teaching God’s word.
Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Darlene Stines Reynolds; children, Nena Callicutt (Jeff) of Franklinville, Karen Reynolds of Shallotte, Morgan Robinson (Tyler) of Randleman, Eric Hutchens of Randleman, and Mark Hutchens (Jennifer) of Ramseur; grandchildren, Justin Stevens, Dakota Reynolds, Ethan Callicutt, Andrew Callicutt, Addie Hutchens, and Landon Hutchens; great grandson, Brodie Callicutt; and sisters, Peggy Cross (Junior), Carolyn Kenyon (Gary), and Becky Kivett. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Lisa Reynolds; and brothers, Donald Reynolds and Pete Reynolds.
A visitation will be held at 12pm, Friday, April 23, 2021 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 528 Old Liberty Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203 with a service to follow at 1pm. Services entrusted to Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service.
