Janette "Jan" (Mabe) White

High Point- Janette "Jan" Mabe White, 87, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Westchester Manor. Born in Albemarle, NC on November 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Mabe and Treva Lawrence Mabe.

Jan was a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God. She worked for Wachovia Bank for 30 years until her retirement and after Klaussner Furniture for 10 years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and quilting. She was an avid reader and loved vacationing at Myrtle Beach.

Jan loved the lord, her church, and her friends and family. She had a true servant’s heart.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert W. White. She is survived by her children, Charles “Chuck” White and his wife Janice, Trena Leonard and her husband Mike, and Sonya Dalke and her husband Bobby; sisters, Faye Whitley and her husband Gary, and Ivy Holt; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 great great great grandchildren; as well as 7 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at Sunset Avenue Church of God, 900 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC with a service to follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Jan’s honor to the Children’s Ministry at Sunset Avenue Church of God.
