We Lost Mikey on March 9, 2023.
Jose Michael “Mikey” Candelaria, age 26, passed away Thursday March 9, 2023 at his home in Cameron, NC. A native of Hoboken, NJ, He was born October 7, 1996 to Maureen Staiger (Martinez) and Jose Candelaria.
Mikey was funny, strong-willed, and kind. He always sought out the good in life and did his best to succeed. He had a bright soul and a big heart that many of us were fortunate enough to know. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time, watching movies and listening to music.
Mikey was a wonderful brother, son, and friend. We are all grateful to have had him in our lives; we only wish he had more time with us. We pray he is at peace above and knows he is loved beyond words. Mikey will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. A service of remembrance will be held by the family at a later date.
We are all going to miss him coming home and saying I love you.
