Obituary

Randleman- Nettie Jane Chriscoe Garner, 72, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Randolph Hospital. Born July 7, 1949 in Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Hoyette Chriscoe and Ronnie Davis Chriscoe.

Nettie graduated from Asheboro High School. She was a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church in High Point, NC. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Garner and his wife Linda; siblings, Joyce Lerch, Rachel Butterworth, Rueben Davis, and Harvey Davis.

Nettie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Reitzel Garner Jr; children, Reitzel Garner III, Patsy Garner, Tina Tilley and her husband Paul Willard, Yvette Garner, Patricia Garner and her husband Jerry Hunt, Christine Duncan and her husband Jeff, and Maranda Cothran; grandchildren, Reitzel Garner IV, Austin Garner, Brittany Garner, Jamie Garner, Samantha Ferrell, Shanna Ferrell, Alicia Garner, Michelle Freshwater, Randy "Weazle" Richardson II, Jesse Tilley, Lillian Willard, Jason Lovell, Kenneth Rich Jr, Terry Presnell Jr, Matthew Gardner, Jessica Duncan, Jeffrey Duncan Jr, Mary Jane Spivey, and Timothy “Sugar Boo” Cothran Jr; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Cagle and Bertha Millikan; long time friend, Billie Harrell as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Gospel Way Baptist Church, 1923 S Elm Street, High Point, NC 27260 with a service to follow after at 1pm. Mrs. Garner will be buried at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro following services.
