Obituary
Asheboro- Richard Walter Hancock, 43, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Randolph Hospice. Born December 21, 1979 in High Point, he was the son of the late Roy Hancock and Anita Hill Hancock.
Richard graduated from East Davidson High School in Thomasville and later attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He worked as a lead sales associate with Dollar General for 9 years. He enjoyed storm chasing, exploring the mountains and beach and traveling.
Richard is survived by his dear friends, Melanie Delp, Sherry Delp, Melissa Wyckoff, Candra Delp and Danielle Wyckoff; fellow weather watchers; former co-workers and classmates who will miss him; his cousins in Alabama; and distant relatives.
